| | Tamarack
Farm, nestled among the hills of Acworth New Hampshire, has been the pride of
the Gowen family since 1877. It all began with a simple idea - an idea to create
a rich, self-sustaining farm producing the best of everything. | | | | | | Maple
sugar production continues to be a family tradition at the Tamarack Farm. Once
produced on the mountain in an old sugar shack, the maple syrup business has been
recently relocated to existing farm buildings. | | | | | | A
few years ago, the Gowen's had the opportunity to purchase adjoining land and
buildings. The lands rolling hills were rich in farm soil, and the mountains,
known as Osgood Ledges provided a unique opportunity to harvest landscaping stones.
Tim and son, Blake, meticulously protect the natural beauty of the land, hand-picking
stones to meet your needs. There's no mass-production, and no blasting. | | | | | | |
While developing a unique landscaping business, the Gowens' spent a year renovating
the 100 yr old homestead restoring wood and rebuilding the stone fireplace and
chimney with hand-picked stones from the mountain. The Green Meadow Nature Escape
Bed & Breakfast opened in the spring of 1999. The Gowen's have a great respect
for the land, natural resources, and wildlife. They take pride in being able to
share this beautiful experience with you. | | | | If
